During Covid, the Tamworth & Lichfield Branch wanted to support some of our clients who were missing the Mobile library service due to the service being suspended during lockdown.
The team sent out a SOS to all of its staff, family and friends and the local community for donations of books so the branch could create its own library. The branch requested feedback from clients of which type of books they would like to read and this varied from romances, thrillers and westerns. They even sourced some novels and titles upon request.
Once a good assortment of good quality books had been collected, the branch compiled a list and distributed it to all our clients who then contacted the branch or made a request via their carer with a request of which book they wished to hire. The carers delivered the books on their visits and collected and returned the book back to the library once they had been read.< Back to News
